Introduction
Welcome to the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (SHPT). This training program is designed to raise awareness about sexual harassment, its impact on individuals and workplaces, and strategies to create a respectful and inclusive environment. By addressing sexual harassment head-on, we can promote a safe and harmonious workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute their best.
The employee training takes one hour to complete. The student does not have to complete the training in one session. If the student logs out, the system will remember their progress.
State Requirements
This sexual harassment prevention training meets state requirements in CA, CT, DE, IL, ME, NY, WA, and the District of Columbia. Supervisors and employees in other states may use the training as a best-practices guide that discusses federal policy and law. It’s important to note that even in states without a sexual harassment training mandate, federal anti-discrimination laws still apply to businesses with 15 or more employees.
States and local jurisdictions may have laws that extend federal protections. This training is not legal advice. If you have questions, consult a discrimination expert in your area.
